don't want to lose torque

on a nearly stock L98, should I be worried about losing low end torque by porting my intake plenum?

Re: don't want to lose torque

I have never had a problem with not having enough low-end torque on my L98, whether stock, lightly modded, or heads/cam/exhaust/intake modded. The engine is cursed with practically unusable low-end torque; it was created to make rear tires regret ever being mounted on a car powered by it.And, I'm OK with that. Bill

Re: don't want to lose torque

not at all. i am running a set of ported SLP runners and i did lose a little but down low but not enough to be worried about. beside eveyone knows that the weak point on a tpi is the 4500+ rpm range. I have a Cut out ( took a lot of my low end away) the ported runners and base and i still have a hard time getting off the line with out spinning.
