what to do about heads?

i have a 95 c1500 350 that i put a roller motor in with the tbi then i came across a tpi intake that i couldn't pass up so i began research on how to swap over to tpi that's when i found this site and someone by the name of haulna$$. who helped me swap out the intake but modify the ecm to run the tpi injectors and the electronic trans (boy is that sweet)

now for the question. what kind of heads are there that i can upgrade to that will compliment the stock tpi intake (w/ 52mm throttle body) or what would be best for future hiflow base and runners upgrade or anything else you might want to throw in.

the motor is a 355 stock, heads stock, cam:comp(08-408-8) dur@050 206/212 lift .480/.487 shorty headers, flowmaster exhaust, 24lbs injectors.

Do a search. The "best" heads, intake, cam, etc topics have been covered a zillion times.

Re: what to do about heads?

You need either TPI heads or LG4 heads (from 1987) to match your intake if you still have your LO5 heads on there.

If you use 350 (L98) heads your compression will be about the same. If you use 305 TPI heads or LG4 heads, your compression will increase. Make sure you have 1.94" intake valves installed as well.

Now, port match and have fun!
