I'm continuing to tune and clean up any little gremlins this car had when I bought it last week. Tonight my goal was to fix the header leak and install a Crane AFPR. I checked the stock pressure before I started at 40 psi. I was putting the intake back together when I realized the gaskets included in the kit are too small for this intake. Got the calipers out and measured the new one at 40mm, old at 45mm. The runners and plenum have been port matched at 43mm. Guess I won't be able to see the results of my effort tonight. Should Summit have different size gaskets? Maybe I can get them overnighted. I measured the throttle body while I was at it, and it is 58mm. This motor should be breathing pretty good...now if I can just give it a little more fuel. I also took out the plastic in front of the fenderwell, below my cold air intake. Even though the previous owner said the cat was a hi-flow, I'm thinking about removing it. On Mustangs that was always good for about 200 rpm up top. Comments?

As long as you have a good muffler you should see some HP from removing the cat. I'd probably leave it on until you get all the tweeking down.
Summit may have a set of gaskets for the Big Mouth intake, if not check with TPIS, Accel or Edelbrock.
58mm tb, That car is a billboard for TPI performance parts. Hey, with your luck look were the spare tire is and you'll probably find a SLP T-Ram in there!
