water in exhaust?
Whenever I start my car, I get water to drip out of the exhaust. I wouldn't be asking this considering that for the most part I thought it was normal, but I've got more than most cars. But it goes away after a little while. I also get a little bit of white smoke at startup, could that be just the exhaust heating the water up that's left inside the pipe? Thanks for any help!

I'd say its normal, especially on cold mornings, i can see it on the ground for about a foot after the tail pipe, but it stops after a couple of minutes.

If you have a friend start the engine and get to the back of the car and smell the (White smoke) it could be only steam, or it could be your valves are leaking, and you get some oil in the intake, when you start the car it is burned off.
If it smells like burned oil, then you more than likely need to have a valve job done.

In any combustion reaction, the reaction is:
Hydrocarbon + Oxygen Gas produces Water + Carbon dioxide gas
If our vehicles were 100% efficient, we would spit out pure water and carbon dioxide out of the tailpipes. But, because complete combustion is almost impossible, we get left over hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide. So, like the other guys said, the water is normal. Just thought you guys might want a little chemistry lesson. :-)

Actually the chemistry is a bit shaky. Humans and all living things exhale carbon dioxide(2 oxygen molecules). Trees and plants recombine this to form O2(the stuff you need to keep breathing).
IC engines create carbon monoxide, which is harmful to all living things. Btw, sniffing directly from the tailpipe may not be the smartest thing, as the effects of inhaling CO are cumulative and will lead to brain damage(sniff a little CO and you'll start shooting admiring glances at Ford's, sniff too much and you'll end up driving one).
