I have always run autolite/motorcraft plugs and not had any problems. Stay away from the gimmick plugs. They aren't worth the money.

DO NOT BUY ACCEL PLUGS. Man, I had bad luck with the ones I bought. The ends of them screw on (the end the plug wire goes on) and all of a sudden, these things all decided to come UNSCREWED all at once and the car was running like A$$. I would screw them back in and it would run fine for a while, then same thing again.

I have been running NGKs. They are cheap and I have not had any problems with them. Ive got probably 20-25K on the ones in my 88.

The tips of all spark plugs screw off.. you just have to tighten them and they should never bother you.

They are not that bad and they don’t cost much more that other plugs. I had a set of there shorty plugs (I had a header clearence problem) and I got good use out of them. They are made by Nipendenzo a Japanese company that makes many factory plugs for imports.
