My planned Miniram setup will now be a balanced LTR system!

In an earlier post entitled "My Miniram" I talked about merely swapping out my stock intake for a miniram untill I could afford a new motor - bad idea...too expensive...period. Instead, I came across a series of great deals to get me on my way to building a performance, budget oriented LTR setup:

Like new Edelbrock baseplate and runners - old base and runners + $325 trade

Trickflow L98 angle plug heads assembled with mild port job and large valves ran only few dyno runs - $750

Heads and intake - $1075 = less than Minram and fuel rail kit and more power to boot!

If I can post the flow #s from the port job, could you reccomend a cam for me to use with 1.6/1.52 rr? I plan on matching my intake to my heads as far as flow is concerned and plan on breaking into the 12s. I have 3.73s and will get a vigilante converter with at least 2500 stall. Any comments and tips will be much appreciated! Thanks!

Kyle

Also, I don't care about emissions, I have gutted cats, removed my smog pump and hoses and will be registering my car to a P.O. box in an emissions exempt area. I want a cam that will create the best power with my setup, but I want that choppy sound without my ecm going berserk with codes.

Sounds great to me...a good LTR set up with heads, exhaust, and cam will make around 350 horses or so..and torque will be incredible..I feel youre going to have traction problems to the extreme.

Great combo nontheless.

Get that lower intake fully ported and maybe get your runners extrude honed for more flow.
