Maybe a good find

I went to the local junk yard today and got a pair of power windows motors for my 91 z. I pulled them out of a 86 or 87 trans am. I am pretty sure it had the 305 I do know it was MAF so I figure it couldn't be 88. I did notice it had a gain control slider on the dash. The car had been guttend and aftermarket radio and stuff like that put in it(blue crush velvet interior). But I thought I would tell you guys about the motor. It was an auto and it had Disc brakes in the rear so I think it was G92. A note on the window said bad motor but who knows. Thought I would tell you all about it. It is in Clarksville, IN just across the river from Louisville, KY if you are interested.

If it had a MAF it could easily have been an '88. All TPI f-bodies built through 1989 used MAF. The easiest way to determine the model year would be by the location of the Center High-mounted Stop Lamp(CHSL). If it doesn't have one, it would be an '85. If it is mounted at the top of the hatch, it's an'86 or 87. All other years will have the lamp mounted below the wing.
