I just bought a 86 Z28 w/ a tpi swaped in. The guy I bought it from said he was sure the previous owner put a 350 in but I have my doubts. Are there any easy ways to tell. Maybe part number on something like MAF. Thanks for the help.

 

unfortunatly there isnt aall small block chevys are the same except the 400 and the older late 50's engines however if you could squeeze in there on the pass. side of block where the tranny bolts up it will say what engine it is i.e 5.0L or 5.7L or you can run the cylinder head or block casting numbers to see what you got sometimes there is a lot of gunk built up so their hard to read
