ZZ4 Cam - Yes, Again... Q about Lifters
Now that I've got this cam, I'm gonna need to round up the parts that need to go in with it:
TPIS springs, New valve seals (while i'm at it), and now I keep getting told I need MATCHING lifters for the cam...
...alright to be honest, i kinda know what they are, i kinda know what they do, but i have no clue as to how i pick out a set that "matches" this zz4 cam, so if anyone can help that'd be awesome
I'm a while away from doing this but I'd better start learnin' now if I wanna do this right

Since you have a roller motor, you can reuse your lifters (since the lifters have a little roller with roller bearings that "roll" on the lobes of the cam and produce virtually no friction).
Inspect the lifters thuroughly and make sure there is no visible damage.

Thanks Black92. Can anyone second his opinion about re-using my existing lifters? (I just wanna be sure, man)
ImportsRSloths, don't worry, when I DO eventually put the cam in it'll get a battery of tests and reviews... butt-dyno, englishtown slips, and every member of FBS will get to romp on it , then i'll post the results here.

Ok, sounds good, assuming I'd need lifters, how should I go about finding something to match the ZZ4 Cam?

You shouldn't have any problem re-using yours, but if you want to get new ones Comp Cams make some: Part #850-16. You can get them from Jegs or Summit.
Sparks a flyin'
