It is not an air throttle, it is a throttle body.

OK, now that we know what to call it...

The throttle position sensor (TPS) bolts in my stock throttle body were metric. For some reason Holley thought it would be nice to tap theirs with a standard SAE bolt/thread size so that I would have to find new TPS bolts instead of re-using my nice stock ones.

Speaking of the TPS, the relief cut into the throttle body for the TPS wiper to swing was not cut deep enough on my Holley TB. I had to file the wiper arm on the TPS sensor to clear the throttle body otherwise it would stick.

You must take the small coolant passage & idle air control (IAC) manifold off of the bottom of your stock throttle body and install it on your new one. Chances are, the stock gasket that has been on there for the life of the car will tear and will not be re-usable. Buy one of those before you get started. I don't know Why the manufacturers of aftermaket throttlebodies don't include this gasket. It would cost them pennies and improves the value perception greatly when you don't have to dig up small things like that.

Other than that it is a good piece.
It includes the throttle body to plenum gasket. (But where is that IAC manifold gasket at Holley??)
It also includes 4 new allen head mounting bolts to attach it to the plenum. (But what is the deal with tapping the TPS bosses with a different size than stock and not including the two now required new size bolts Holley??)

The finish is good (looks better than any other as far as I am concerned).
Other than the TPS wiper interference the fit is good.

I didn't have any problems using the stock tps bolts on mine, but I know what you mean about the tps arm. I just used a washer between the tps and the tb on mine but I will probably trim the arm a little before the 406 goes in.

The holley is a much better design than the edelbrock/bbk. Just look at the space in between the bores. The holley has a cast-in airfoil where the edel. is just flat. Also I've heard about some people having porosity problems w/ their edel/bbk TBs.

You can get a whole new TB gasket pack, including the IAC housing gasket, TB to plenum gasket and upper plate gasket for 5.00 from Autozone, its a GP Sorenson P/N 96-3008.

I have the Edelbrock/BBK TB. Had no problems with any bolts (bracket or otherwise). It does whistle at idle and low RPMs (don't know about higher RPMs, can't hear it over the exhaust).
