Wa-Hoo! Code 33!
Wa-Hoo! Code 33!
ok i deciced to just take an evening ride since the weather was so cool tonight and i go to start it up and i put it in drive and it dies. then i start it up again and everything is fine except for the SES light. i drove around for a good 20 minutes and everything was fine but the SES light stayed on. since im used to driving in 90+ weather it actually felt a little faster since the temp droped to about 75 tonight. i started it up in the drive way after driving it again and it idled perfectly(except for the SES light). i checked others code 33 problems and i dont have the same symptoms. whats the deal? i also have a 32 but i've had that for a while..
check your mas air flow sensor by cranking the car up and tapping on the maf, if your car starts running ruff, there it is,if not pull the ground off your battery to reset the codes for 30 seconds and try it again. as for the code 32 thats an EGR problem, need to change it as well.
ok my car is running PERFECTLY like it always does... maybe there's something wrong with the ECM? code 32 is gone, but i still get 33 and the occasional continuous SES light. i tested everything i read on here, the connections seem fine. im lost. anyone have any ideas?

1. Check your MAF connector (electrical).
2. Check your rubber MAF housings for air leaks.
3. Disconnect battery 5 minutes reconnect and check for 33.
That's about the end of the free stuff.
4. Replace MAF Power Relay (10 bucks), clear codes and check.
5. At this point it may be possible you will have to replace the MAF. (139.00 rebuilt) and you might as well replace the MAF Burnoff and Fuel Pump relays while you're doing the MAF Power relay.
