Does cruzinperformance.com fix bad injectors?

I had my 89 Formula in the shop today and the guy said I had 8 bad injectors, a bad ECM, and a bad PROM. I will find out later what he means by 'bad' but I hope they can be fixed for $10 per injector rather than buying $100 new injectors. Thanks

It all depends on what is wrong with them, but judging from the bad ecm, I am guessing that they need replaced. All Cruzin really does for $10 is clean them. You can buy a whole new set of Accel injectors from Cruzin for under $250 if I remember correctly. Give Rich a call, I have dealt with him and was very satisfied.

First, you may want to see a new mechanic. 8 bad injectors, bad ECM, AND a bad Prom all at the same time! Your car would be completely dead. Sounds fishy to me, plus, a second opinion never hurt.

Ditto. Either that mechanic is a moron and thinks everything is bad, or he is just trying to pay for his kids college education.

I was thinking he was bsing me too. On top of it all he wanted to charge me $1040 for new Delco injectors. I asked him about the Accel injectors and he said they were junk and to get the delcos, again I think he just wants my money. After my car has been sitting for more than 5 hours it runs great, but if I try to start it after it sits less than than it runs like crap, rough idle and won't accelerate at all. So I don't think all that is wrong, I think I will take it in to a different place tomorrow. Thanks

Another question, are the Accel injectors inferior to the AC Delco? The cheapest I can find the Delco are $650 for all 8. $250 for Accel sounds a lot better than $650 for the Delcos.

Plant, first the injectors you send in aren't the ones you get back. Rich tests them for flow, rebuilds them (it takes a lot for him to NOT be able to recondition them), then sorts them by flow rate.

My stock injectors flowed 20% off from each other.

He then goes to his bins which are sorted by flow and size and pulls you 8 injectors that match within 2%.

If you have a cold start valve send it too. Should be about 100.00 for the injectors, cold start & the Felpro gasket set you need. Mine were done about a year ago so his prices may have changed.

When you get them back even though they have new o-rings, order the big, beefy, blue stock GM rings for about 20 bucks. They seat better and your injector installs a bit easier.

I tested my injectors today and I found only 1 in the range haynes set of 11-14ohms. I found bosch injectors for $25 a piece new which are overall the cheapest and the cheapest Delcos i found were $81. Will the bosch work right or should i just spend the money and buy Delcos?
