Tranny Ideas
Tranny Ideas
Well it looks like my tranny finally gave up. I tried to drive it to the mechanics yesterday and I only got halfway there. It appears that I've lost 3rd and 4th gear. I'll know for sure by tommorrow. But I'm preparing myself for the worst which is a rebuild. If this is the case, then I definately wanted do some things to it while it is out. For sure things are vette servo, and 1LE driveshaft. Then this time I'm probably gonna go with synthetic fluid instead of conventional. Any ideas of what else I might consider? I thought about the TransGo kit, but changed my mind and think I like the vette servo better, unless someone can convince my otherwise.
Thanks in advance for your comments...

call level 10 in nj they are really good most companies give you a drill bi to enlarge the orifice in the valve body shift plate they go one step further and recalibrate the pressure switches as well as increase the line pressure to give you stronger shifts if you are going all ou there are kits on the market that use kevlar clutches on the 3-4 clutch pack(biggest weak spot in the 700)servo is a good idea and definatly consider a vigillante tourqe converter.also dont forget to have them rebuild it to 92 specs in 88 they change the pressure as well as the amount of veins that are in the pump(8 vein to 10 vein)good luck

Lots of good things have been said about him, and it's a good price for a 700 tranny...
