need advice for my 350 tpi

ok i bought an 87 iroc-z with a 350 tpi and the motor that has really bad blow by. I'm looking for a car to have fun with i don't need to make a ton of power. i would like to make 300 325 hp. So my problem is do i rebuild it as a 350 with bolt ons, or make it a 383 stroker. I would like to keep the tpi set up. so do you have any good advice?

Hey, Welcome to thirdgen!

If you have blow by really bad.....your going to need a rebuild regardless.
So it all depends on your pocket book.
You can take it all apart....but the more you do.....they more you will have to spend to get the whole thing to flow correctly.

example: bore it .030 over, then have the machine work done for the 400 crank, Better intake, better heads, better cam, ect the list goes on.
With a 383 stroker...your going to be at at least 400+ hp. But your pocket book will take a pretty big dent.
OR:
You get your motor work done, bore it .030 over, .030 pistons, have your stock crank turned and polished, you can use your stock rods, toss a larger cam in. and use your stock TPI set up.
That will save you some $$$ and be cheaper.

But I say if your going to do it....why not do it up right.

this was quick...but I hope it helps....and once again welcome!
