How do I remove the IAC from the intake?

Disconnect plug.
Unscrew.

How do you unscrew it though? There doesn't seem to be enough room to put on a wrench and turn it.

Unbolt throttlebody from plenum, then use unbolt IAC from TB....

Don't unbolt the TB...just use an adjustable wrench.

If you move some things out of the way, an appropriately sized socket slides right on. Can't remember the size right now though.

Ok, I'm home now and checked it out. 1 1/4" socket. You have to move that tube out of the way first (the one that runs from the front to the back of the engine along the top of the passenger side valve cover).
