how to get the fuel rail out of the way
ok how do i get the fuel rail out of the way without disconnecting everything. i have it free to move around but its still connected to the fuel injectors and the fuel injectors are connected to their wires. can i just pop the fuel injectors out of the fuel rail? can i pop the wires off the fuel injectors?
thanks a ton

I wouldnt just pull on the wires, theres a metal clip that you push in towards the injector, and then pull it off. Might break something otherwise.
As for the rail, the tops of the injectors are held into the rail with small clips that twist around the injector and lock into the rail. You can pry up on the rails to pull the injectors out of the manifold base and then take the whole mess off the car. Be careful when you do that, they ALWAYS leak fuel out of the fittings up front... dont want that stuff on your paint.

i'll assume you have the upper intake off already take a 10mm socket loosen the 4 rettaing bolts on the rails and the bolt securing it to the manifold above the water pump use a long screwdriver to gently pry up one side of the rail then the other side may be tough due to buildup.than invert the rails leaving everything connected lay it upside down(injectors up)on the driver's side strut tower brace.i've done it a few hundred times and saves the hassle of leaking fuel and the gas smell your wife complains is stinking up the house...

As far as the rail..... never done it (yet)

WHAT PETE SAID!!
just take off fuel line going in(and return) take off the mounting bolts and lift straight up on fuel rails. the injectors will pull out of the intake but stay connected to fuel rail. you can take the wires off but DO NOT just pull on them there are little wire locks that hold them in.
i dont know why you want to move it out of the way but, you might as well just pull it right off and get it completely out of the way. it will only take a couple minutes to completly remove it. and if you do decide to remove wires i found it is easier to do the step first while , then remove 4 mounting bolts and others and then just pull if off.when putting it back in, just pop injectors in (i oiled my o-rings so they would slide easier) put bolts in and then pop wires on. it does not matter which injector wire goes where so you cant mess that up
