I am redoing my engine. So should I port my LB9 heads or get a aftermarket set? and what brand?

This is going on my 1985 SuperCharged Iroc

Thanks for the info.

If you are keeping i a 305, i say you should get some aluminum L98 heads. That way you will keep the stock compression and not have to spend a ton of money to get them

------------------
*1989 RS
*Red, Daytona Turbo fiberglass hood, chrome 16x8 IROC wheels
*355 CID
*TPI ported plenum, SLP siamesed runners, Edelbrock high flow intake
*Edelbrock TES Headers (getting SLP 1 3/4 this summer)
*Richmond 3.73, Auburn Posi
*Modded 700-R4, 2800 stall converter
*NO recent time slips.

S/R torquer 305's have them on my T/A and oh what a difference . After pricing having my heads rebuilt or the torquers for about the same money it was a no-brainer. You can also buy the bare castings and build them yourself...have a machine shop check them for a nominal fee (I paid $50 for cleaning and checking) then assemble. It's really not that hard.
