Just Changed TPI intake...now have 3000RPM idle....HELP!!!!!

I just swapped on an Edelbrock base intake and runners with a portmached plenum onto my 1990 350 TPI along with 1.6 rr...when I first started the car I had an idle of 3000 RPM! WTF?! My timing is set correctly at 0*. I also got a code 33 which means a bad MAP, but it worked fine before. I think I may have a vaccum leak somewhere which would cause the MAP to read 0 vaccum.

My throttle blades are closed, meaning that my IAC is doing this. Could using 85-89 runners and base cause this problem (Vaccum)with the extra EGR passage built into the driver side runner.

Is my IAC vaccum controlled? If so...how? and why would I Idle at 3000?

Where does my EGR electrical connector connect? and what other hose besides the PCV hose and the coolant hose meets the pass. side of the throttle body?

Please help me, I have been downn for a month with this swap and I cant stand it any more!

Its a vacum leak

take a water bottle, and spray (mist) around the manifold, when you find the leak the car will stumble, or the idle will drop

Then fix it

good luck!

Thanks 85, I thought it might be a vaccum leak. After I made this post I thought about the 9th injector passage and remembered that I forgot to block it off. I will remedy this by sealing the hole and hopefully my car will idle fine.

Any other suggetions?
