Lb9 opinions and options
which is the shorter route? I have an 85 tpi trans am, A4/3.23 that has a poorly chosen cam swapped into it, the thing falls on it's face till a shining second at about 4100 rpm where the cam turns on and the intake turns off. Needs to go
1) swap the new service replacement L98 in my parts car to my new project t/a, removing the 85's tpi 305.
2)slap an lt1 cam (want cheap and effective) into the 305, burn a few chips, keep my parts car for a reliable driver and drive the 85. eventually it WILL recieve the 350 anyways tho but i'm extremely pressed for time to do all of the swap work, though i know a cam swap isn't exactly un involved. however i really want this car on the road for spring time in ohio. also i can't be leaving two cars torn apart where i'm working on them, it's much easier actually to tear apart that lb9 as the car is in a bay with enough space for such a project.
