help ! Idle at 7000 rpm

I need to know to set mt rpm's back to 5000 or lower. I just had motor rebuilt , boared stroked and camed . i know it is timed 8% at 5000 rpm . I just cant see the rpm's being 7000 in gear at a light . It never gose down , enen in park it stays at 7000 in gear sometimes it will drop to 5000 .

First off i think you mean 700, not 7000. If you were idling at 7k you would have pistons on the ground, through your hood, con rods in the tires, etc. It'd be a mess, lol.
With that said, you idle speed is controlled by the ECM. Unless you have your minimum air set way high or way low, it will always idle where the computer wants it too. The ONLY way to change this is with a chip.
