TPI Vacum leak.

I replaced the EGR valve on my 89 305 TPI 5-speed IROC. I replaced all the gaskets to mthe intake with GM gaskets, rebuilt the TB, and replaced th O-rings on the injectors. Put it all back together and now the RPMz are veru\y high and I can hear vacum comming from somewhere around the runners or the plenum. was I supposed to use a sealant, or is there a set torque for the boltz that I did not do?

Take the runners and plenum apart and make sure you didnt bend a gasket. Also make sure you tightened all the bolts. They dont need much, just snug fit, like 20-25 ft/lbs.

Check the large fitting on the back and almost below, (drivers side) and make sure you didn't miss that line. Drove me nuts for about 20 minutes last time I has mine off.

Ok, I took everything off and reinstalled it again, But I still have the vacum leak. The gasket kit I got from GM came with Blue RTV Gasket Maker Sealant. I did not think I would need it. Do you guyz think I should use it with these gaskets? It sounds like there is a leak at the plenum or the runners, and it is sucking inward very hard!. all vacum lines are good, I cant think of anytrhing else it can be
