87 intake question
ok im a little confused on this...
I have a 1987 trans am with a 305 lg4 carb.
Im going to convert to tpi soon and the system I have is from an 85 tpi car
I know the center bolts on the 85-86 intake are all the same angle and the
87-up intakes have center holes at an angle. I read on here that someone said the 85-86 intakes will bolt up fine to all 305 iron heads w/o modifying the middle holes.
will the 85 tpi intake straight up bolt to the 87 305 cast iron heads or will the center holes need to be elongated on the 85 intake.???

Re: 87 intake question
You'll need to oblong the holes on your intake, best to use the beveled washers too,...used be be Mr Gasket carried them.
Re: 87 intake question
I have a lower intake that is off of my car that I will give ya but I have already elongated it for the old style heads and it should still work just fine without any leaks atleast it did for me. just pay the shipping on it. e-mail peanutmrpeanut@aol.com
