Fuel injector swap in an 88 TPI
Fuel injector swap in an 88 TPI
I have an 1988 I-roc 5.0 TPI (stock exept filters and exhaust)
The car idles irratic and ive checked everything, Last year my bike was doing the same thing until i changed the jets in the carbs and now it runs fine,
Unfortuanality I have to run E85 due to the damn state of MA, and it dident start acting up until E85 came out (corn gas) I was told i have to run double sized injectors like 40lbs, is this right? and if i have to does anyone know where to get the chip reprogrammed mabie a chevy dealer, so it can handle the larger injectors?

Could be a number of things....Check your TPS make sure it is at .54V....Clean and reset your IAC(Idle Air Control)....Lots of threads on how to do this ..I had that problem a while back cleaned the IAC passage in the throttle body and reset the IAC and that did the trick...Plus I burned a new chip
