Why 48mm tbody when my V65ci Honda has 144

Can someone help me understand why a 350ci Chevy has to breathe through two 48mm bores when my 65ci Honda V-4 uses (4) 36mm carburetors? I just want to understand why the throttle body induction system is so restricted compared to the Honda. ps the Honda makes 120hp at the crank, stock...I like to know these things.

tuned port engines use a dry flow rating, meaning that the twin tb on a chevy flows 760 cfm (i think thats the number) of AIR, while the carbed setup is rated in wet flow numbers, meaning that whatever the cfm rating is on the honda, its rating flow of mixture, not pure air.
