TPI PROBLEMS
TPI PROBLEMS
I hope someone can help me on this one, i have a '91 Z28 5.0 Conv., It was running fine then when I pulled away from a stopsign
it was choking and smoking (Pure fuel), I replaced the computer, didnt do anything, I changed all the plugs, everyone of them was soaked in gas, I was going to replace the TPS
but dont know if that could do it, any thoughts?

Ya really need to take a look at what your computer thinks is going on. Something as simple as a coolant temp sensor would do this to ya. Plug in a scan tool, turn the key on, but don't start the engine, take a look at what the various sensors are telling the ECM, should be able to make a more accurate determination from there.
