Try Tapping/Hitting Them Loose With A Rubber Mallet. Prying With A Screwdriver Is Not Recommended As It Will Distort The Valve Cover. Mine Came Loose That Way. Good Luck

When I did my valve covers they were just a little stuck, I took 2 #1 PH screwdrivers and put them in the centerbolt holes and rocked them a little to loosten them, worked good. a little risky but mine were not completely "GLUED" on either.

On a side NOTE: As a note, not all centerbolt valve cover bolt holes are the same diameter, I have 2 87's and the bolts are NOT interchangable. One set will go into the other but not the other way around.
