fuel filter

changed my fuel filter today and after i got everything hooked up and bolted back together my car hissing from the filter and like steam smoke is coming out also its leaking fuel from the left side. What could be my problem? I thought it was tight because my pliers slip off when I try to tighten it. Any help would be great but im taking it to my mechanic in the morning anyway?
Thanks Guyz in advance
you normally help me with all my problems!

Re: fuel filter

sounds like you may have cross threaded it causing it to leak, all you can do is take it back off check the threads on it and the fuel line to make sure theyre not messed up ifso theyll need to be replaced good luck with it,later jimmy
