Hey 92,
K&N filters are good but I would suggest TPIS Air Filter Elements. They are Awesome filters they also have a life time warranty. There website is www.tpis.com definitely check them out. As for keeping you car stock there is'nt many options but I would upgrade the cap and rotor, plug wires, and plugs(I recommend bosch platium+4 plugs) if you have not already.

don't waste your money on the plus 4's.their just a gimmuck like the splitfires.if you know anything about electric,it always finds the easiest path.if(and when)your plugs start to get alittle used and worn with carbon build up or what ever.you'll be left with just the one electrode any way.
a freind of mine put the plus four's in his 94 Z28 and he saw no diference what so ever
in my opioun the cost dosen't justafy the gain
and that was my last .02

The stock AC Delco spark plugs will work fine. As for filters. K&N Filtercharger, Holley Powershot, or whatever TPIS has, they will all not make a big difference as opposed to a CLEAN paper element. However they are all washable which makes them all worthwhile. Just get the cheapest one and service it regularly. It beats buying a new filter everytime. I understand your not wanting to chop up the ride... It'll be quite a collectors item someday
