TPI Swap

hi im new to this jus picked up a used tpi and wiring harness for my 83 camaro z28 the car right now has a 350 carbd that i built now im gonna fuel in ject it how do u tell if u have a map or maf style tpi id really like to now this im still in highschool and i saved up to build this car will sum1 please help me

thats the problem tho i have the harness and the tpi intake outta of ethier an 85 or 86 camaro and it didnt have any of the air box when i took it outt of the car so i was wondering if there was any other ways to identify wich intake i have i can post pics if u would like thank you fo that info tho

Since the factory didn't go to speed density until 1990, it's a pretty safe bet it's MAF if it came off of an '85 or '86.

Since you're asking about TPI-specific issues, and not Engine Swap, let's move this to the TPI forum.

He has a really informative thread on installing TPI in older cars. A lot of wiring schematics also.
