How hard to convert 87 tpi to carb???

Could you tell us why you are doing so? Is your car auto or manual? Will this be smog legal? Give us more info and someone will be able to tell you exactly what you have to do. You should also search the archives. Its quite a bit of work if you want to do it right, if its a drag only/no smog its a lot simpler.
