I tried searching, but I can't find any specific info on what ford injectors I can use for a stock 305TPI. I found a couple of part numbers, but I'm trying to find out what cars to look for at the junk yard. I think ford 5.0 EFI ones with a yellow top will work, but it appears that there are several different versions. Are the ford injectors a plug and play deal, or do I have to modify anything? Also, I found a decent deal on a set of 19 pounders on ebay, from an 04 4.6L stang. They appear to be skinnier than others though, would these work?

Also, I plan to get an AFPR, so if I got a good deal on a set of 22# or 24# injectors, could I just turn down the fuel pressure, or would I need to update the injector constant in the ECM as well?
EDIT: Also, I'm only looking at using ford injectors because they can be found easily, and cheap. Autozone wants $70 each for new injectors, and a set of Accels is like $270 from summit racing. Are there any other options besides the ford ones?

Look for M9593-C302 19#. This has the EV1 connectors you will need.

Are there any factory ones I could pull from the junkyard and use? I know that the Ford 5.0 EFI motors (stang, cougar, etc) got 19 pounders, I just don't know if they will fit, and if the connectors are the same. I see that summit carries the ford racing ones you mentioned, are those a direct fit? I remember reading something about having to modify the clips for them, but I can't seem to find the thread it was in.

Do an internet search on that number. That should kick up some cross reference numbers and what installed in.
I put the M9593-a302 (24#) in my car used gm o-rings and the clips. no leaks.

if you run into the problem of the ford injectors being slightly SHORTER you can grind the 4 fuel rail posts down just a bit and they will fit snug

I picked these up off ebay, I think they will work. They look like they may be slightly shorter, but the bottom o-ring looks to be in the same place. Anyone else running these injectors?

Lots of the "shorty" injectors are installed without any rail lowering.
Getting the bores clean is #1 to stop leaks. Use carb cleaner. no scratches.
