Non-cold-start manifold upgrade?

If I have a car that has the cold start injector can I use a manifold that doesn't have provisions for this? Like an 89 up manifold? I just got a new upgraded intake and its for an 89+ and I have an 88 with a cold start injector.

You need '89+ runners and '89+ fuel rails, or use one of the available 9th injector block-off kits. (search for more info on those) From what I remember, the intake manifold is the same from 87-92.
