90 GTA - 2 questions

First i just had my transmission rebuilt. when i got it back on the road there is a pretty bad vibration under the car and the faster i get the worse it gets. I thought maybe the universal joints but that wasnt it. any thoughts?
Second. My car now hesitates when i press the gas pedle mostly happens under 2000rpm then it kicks in and goes fine. any thoughts?

GC,

The first problem will require you to go back to the transmission shop. You may have a bent driveshaft or they neglected to mark the position of the shaft when they removed it, and now it is not balanced correctly.

The second problem is fairly easy. Ask them to readjust the TV cable properly this time. And ask to speak with Beavis this time instead of his sidekick...

I had the exact same vibrating problem as you a couple of dasy ago. I traced it back to a plugged cat which casued so much backpressure inside the engine to casue it to vibrate. It's a long shot but make sure its the tranny which is actually casuing the problems.

If it is the tranny I would say the vibrations can be caused by either a bent flexplate (doubtful since a shop with proper tools did the swap), a faulty Torque Converter, or as Vader said the driveshaft was installed back incorrectly.

Your best bet is to take it back to the shop and let us know how it turns out.
