What can you set base timing to with a "stock" prom?
Curious what you can raise the base timing to when using a stock prom?
I run a 1987 prom on a modified 5.7L. I changed to a set of MSD wires and I must have moved the distributor some, since the idle is now a bit lower and I can hear the engine searching for an idle sometimes.
My base timing is 8 degrees. I am sure I had 10-12 before.
Opinions?
Mark.

My '86 runs best at about 10° base setting on 93 octane. If I use any lower octane the ESC retard gets excessive and I lose power fast.
