Edelbrock base and AFR head question

Edelbrock lists two different part #'s for their High-Flo base. #3860 Machined to clear center bolt valve cover heads and #3861 for aftermarket & early model heads. I plan on using the AFR 190 cc centerbolt heads. I realize this question sounds to easy, but when I called Edelbrock Tech support, the guy I talked to did not know. He had to ask someone else who told him either one works. those of you who have this combination which part # is correct. Thanks for the help.

If you're buying centerbolt heads, buy a base for centerbolt heads. If Edelbrock is like Accel, their bases will work with both styles. The only real difference is the bolt angles in the middle 2 bolts.

I ran the 3860 with the afr 190 heads with no problems.
