TPS Check
TPS Check
Hi out there, just a quick question regarding the VOM & Jumper Wires on the check & adjustment of the Throttle Position Switch. Which of the three wires/connectors do I have to jump across in order to obtain a reading as per the article in Tech Data?
Thanks for any info

I replaced mine last week. Set your volt meter to read 10ths of a volt. The way your TPS is sitting, you will have the connector turned vertical with three wires going down it. Put the positive lead in the top and negative lead in the middle. I believe that's how I had mine.
Your volt meter should read something. If not, switch the leads. All you have to do to adjust it is barely loosen the torx bolts and move the whole TPS a smidgen at a time until you get the correct reading.
FWIW, I had mine set at .45 volts, but when I tightened up the bolts good and tight, it jumped to .46 but it won't matter.
