To cam or not to cam? Siamese base.
Two questions. Do I have to remove the valve covers to remove/install the manifold base? Also, I have a 305 TPI with the L98 cam(stock), 5 speed, edelbrock headers, 160* stat. I plan to siamese the base, but should I also install the crane 2032 cam 214/220 (I have)at the same time? I plan to burn a new PROM. Just wondering if anyone thinks I'll feel a nice difference with just the siamesed base w/o the work of installing a cam?
you should notice quite a bit of power increace with those 2 mods togeather as long as you have ported the plenum to match. You will need some good heads or port your heads when you get a chance. Porting the heads will allow you to pass that extra air into the cylinders.
