no2 through the injectors
Re: no2 through the injectors
If you mean using injectors to introduce Nitrous, then technically , Yes.
But they will wear out quickly due to being dry, as the nitrous, unlike the liquid fuel, does not cushion the needle/seat interface like gasoline.
better to do like Thunder85 suggests.....

Re: no2 through the injectors
Does nitrous spray dry all the time?
As in, what if you let out 1/10000th of what you would when you use it during everyday use? Would that help? I got a funky idea brewing too,

Re: no2 through the injectors
can I run fuel into the rail and then meter the no2 into the rail and spit it into the injector

Re: no2 through the injectors
i wouldn't think so. the nitrous is a much higher pressure system (in order to maintain liquid form), and introduced into the comparitively low pressure fuel system rail would cause it to revert to a gas in the fuel rail, cause excessive pressure buildup, and i assume all sorts of interesting problems. thats why no matter what system you have, the fuel and nitrous hydraulic circuits are always seperate until the point of injection
Re: no2 through the injectors
That would most likely cause all kinds of issues, from maldistribution of the NO2 cylinder-to-cylinder, and potential for explosions, since the NO2 carries its own oxygen (that's why it works), and the lean condition caused by the displacement of the fuel by the NO2 gas....remember, NO2 needs MORE fuel to utilize with the oxygen in the nitrous....
If you want a PWM (kind of) solution, you could use a cold start injector and feed NO2 using it. You can PWM these things, but only grossly. So you still need to have a nitrous limited orifice upstream for flow control.
