You may want to check and see if the cold start injector is working correctly.

Have you checked if you got spark ? have you checked if your injectors working ? Do they got an inj.pulse while cranking ? Do you have fuelpressure ?

thanx alot guys how do i check the cold start injector? that theory makes sense, because the problem only happens after the car has been sitting for more than about 4-6hrs.

i had that problem for the longest time with my tpi 350... i replaced almost all sensors, fuel pump, etc. my injectors were recieving the pulse, had correct resistance, but apparently weren't working quite right. had a slightly rough idle (just the hint of a skip) hard cold starts, etc. i changed my injectors out for new ones... and problems all went away. smooth idle... no more hunting rpm.. starts within a couple seconds, etc. i got bosche type III injectors from fuelinjectorconnection.com.. work great

honestly, i don't know as u can tell just lookin at them. after i ran them for a bit, they were holding pressure and not leaking, had the correct resistance, etc. they seemed to pass every test that u can do in a regular garage, but they still sucked.

i had the same problem, i replaced the injectors and it went pretty much completely away, it was strange be4 i changed them, sometimes like you said it will start right up, they turn it off and start it again and it will take a while then give you a cloud of smoke, my gta did that, my iroc still does it. i went with the ford injectors btw

I have that same problem now, did you lose fuel pressure if you let the fuel pump prime and check it. Mine primes, and it just instantly drops to zero in about 3 seconds.

whiteirocz... put a clamp on your return line rubber hose and test then... if you still get the instant leakdown, its definitely injectors. leakdown that quick can also be a regulator gone bad.
