This is as easy as it gets!!!!

I am sure with all the brains on this board someone could answer this ? pretty quickly. Heres my background.

I have a 88 L98 out of a Formula

Going into 87 GTA that has a LB9

The mechanic was about to start the swap then called me to the shop to show me that there was some wiring harness matchup issues btwn the 2 engines as far as the harness ends hooking up to the car in several places.

What options do I have?

He also said that this was a northern engine as he proceded to show me the rust on the block and the very badly rusted lines from the oil pump. I guess thats a risk you take when buying an engine from up north.

What else should I look out for?

Look out for a better mechanic. The oil pump shouldn't be rusty. It's inside the oil pan. Who cares if there's rust on the block. Cracks are what'll kill it.
Go to a boneyard and get the computer and all harness from a TPI car. I've heard mixed reviews regarding the Painless Wiring kit.
