Knock sensor different for 350TPI than for 305TPI?

Knock sensor different for 350TPI than for 305TPI?
I read somewhere on these boards that the knock sensor is different for the 350 than it is for the 305, but they didn't give anymore info. I just swapped my 305 for a 350 and am having pinging problems within certain throttle ranges and am wondering if I overlooked this in the swap. Can someone clear this up for me? Also, there is no ECM code for a bad knock sensor, right? So if I assume its bad (or incorrect), just replace it, right?

nevermind. im assuming elec spark timing circuit.
ok, so im not totally sure what or where that is. im embarrassed, mind you. but how do i swap that out?

Is it true that the EST circuit (ignition module) needs to be swapped too? Can anyone else confirm this? This is the first I've heard of it.
