TPI Formula hood scoop conversion?

I have a 88 Formula, L98 TPI.

I was thinking the LT1 cars have the 90* elbow and put an Airbox on top of the intake and seal it to the hood. I was thinking of doing the same by using the guts from an 82-84 T/a and routing an airbox to sit on the plenum/brake booseter and seal with weather stripping to the ram air unit.

Anybody done it, researched this.. couldnt find much with search.. thanks!

Re: TPI Formula hood scoop conversion?

it would be far easier to do with with out useing factory parts
it has been done ends up looking like a off center 96 SS intake setup
