Ok I will try and give as much info as I can let you all know what my goals are so I can get the best advice you guys have to offer.

89 L98 stock bottom
L98 cam w/t 1.6 RR
Speed-pro forged pistons 10.4 CR with below heads.
AFR195CC heads 74cc w/t heat riser (emission)
- 2.02 intake
- 1.60 exhaust
stock intake (ported & polished)
SLP Runners (ported & polished)
stock plenum (ported & polished)
52mm Holley TB

SLP 1 3/4 headers into dual 2.5"

I have left lots out (cause I don't know what else I can change or should)

but I'm looking for 300rwhp and anywhere from 350-400 rwtq, also I want peak power between 5200-5800 rpm.

And from what I have read stock maf should support that Y/N???

I might/eventually switch to SD but that would be later.

Youve got a mismatch waiting to happen going on here. I'd recommend changing the cam, using 190 heads not 195's, and the stock intake base isnt going to help things any. Other than that it looks ok. And forget about making peak power at 5200-5800 unless you plan on going miniram or *maybe* superram.

I wouldnt worry about the MAF right now it should support that just fine.

Yeah, you'd be better off running *at least* something like the LT4 hot cam (218/226) and 190s w/ an aftermarket base. Much more matched.

ditto on ed's comments...
all that compression and nothing to get into
the combustion chambers. the cam/manifold is
starving this setup.

so goign with what Ed said, and expecting to have peak power between what 4700-5300rpm.

what ill effects will this have on emissions?

I have to pass slighty easier then CA, and only sniffer no visual (except if the cat is still there) and I do still have my cats working.

should I still go for it or would I just be spending money to fail???
