Looking to build a 350!
Hi, i am new to the site. I have a 1990 305 Iroc-Z pretty much stock. Mods include:
Hypertech Performance Chip
Hypertech Airfoil
Accel 8.8 mm wires
MSD 48,000 volt coil
80-series flowmaster exhaust
Stewart water pump
Powerstop rotors
& Splitfire plugs
Car is still runnning strong at 136,000 miles
177.1 RWHP & 243.7 RWTQ
I am planning to build a 350 to stick under my TPI: i need some help on combo's to gain about 320 HP and 400 TQ.
If anyone has any experience in accomplishing this under 3000 or 4000 dollars, i would love to know.

If you use the stock intake setup, ported of course i would go with some like this.
TF 23* heads
cam-between 218-224 dur. @50 and lift about .510-530
pistons-about 9.5-10:1 comp
22# or 24# injectors.. in theory to tune it roght with the 24#'s you need to make changes to the chip.
You could always go with some large tube runners and big mouth base. I didnt have the $ for those and am not a big fan of them but alot of people like them.
Of course all of thi depends on how much money you have to spend and how fast you wanna go. i did my buildup for about $2200. of course you dont have to buy $400 pistons either
There are alot of combinations that make power, you just need to choose one that fits your budget and needs.

Shaun,
Glad you found your way over here.
Just thought I would add that I am
shortly going to be delving into EPROM
burning / modifying, so if you build up
beyond the capabilities of the ECM,
we should be able to take care of it.
Cheers
Richard
