TPI Timing
This could kinda cross over into PCM tuning, but I am asking on a TPI motor specifically, so thats why I am posting here.
For ones who have tuned your own pcm. How much timing have you gotten into. Also, what is your base timing set at? What oct gas is this set for?
I know there becomes a point when to more timing just doesnt do anything, or starts making it worse. Anyone found that point?
I know this can vary alot depending upon mods done to the engine, Air temps, oct gas, etc. Just trying to get an idea. I had tuned my motor during the winter months. Now that its summer and I just changed my rear axle. I am noticing I am getting spark knock and will need to re-tune it.

Re: TPI Timing
Basetiming is 6 BTDC I know alot of guys that set it to 8 BTDC..
If you change the base timing you need to change that constant in the PROM to.. to make it right..
The timing is very individual to each engine, the best is to adjust it to your own engine.. beacuase one spark table can make knock on one engine and make an other run very good...
I use 95 octance, sometimes 98 (got some more power in it then..)
The lowest octane in sweden is 95...
Knocking can be cause by alot of sharp/loud noices to..
