Valve seal questions....

i have a set of 187 and 416 heads why don't they have exhaust valve seals?
or did they just burn off or did GM not put seals on the exhaust side?

2nd i just got done installing springs locks and seals, i was setting the vavle lash
and the seals where squeaking really bad, I remember i forgot to oil the valve steams after i installed the seals is there anyway they could pull out? i tried right away to shoot some oil between the springs and finished up my valve lash and getting the engine back to TDC - is there anyway the seals would pop off?????

Re: Valve seal questions....

exhaust side shouldve had umbrella seals. did you soak the seals in oil or dip them in oil at least before you put them on? if so thatll lubricate them enough.
