dont know what board

i sold my ride and am looking into a new one but what to do. know it's gonna be a roc for one.the lt1 intake to a gen 1 block got me thinking!could the lt1 be ran with the 3rd gen equipment?if you drill the whole for the distributor(using the small distributor) and drill and tap the waterpump housing for the intake temp sensors and use the head sensors and knock sensor from the tpi unit the ecm shouldn't think anything is different.that way the waterpump could still be used reverse flow and all.i even think the 3rd gen accesories could be used if a bracket is made to mount a pulley back in it's original place of the water pump(kind of like the a/c delete pulley.all answers are welcome and needed.dont be shy on this one guys need suggestions.also does anyone know if the front timing/waterpump cover will bolt up to a 3rd gen block the ouline kinda looks the same.thanx

I was told that the angels of the gasket surfaces were different. But you might want to do a search on the LT1 Intake because there was a good size discussion on this about a month ago.

Did you miss John Millican's post entirely? Look for his post, the one with 23859762389523 posts(ok maybe not that many ), but he did just that and he's the one to answer your questions?

did you happen to read the second line of my topic?it says"the lt1 intake to a gen 1 block got me thinking"i read his posts as well as many others an looks like a great alternative i am asking if the complete 2nd gen lt1 motor can be controlled by the 3rd gens harness and ecm?hey but thanks for replying to something you've obviously missed.any seriously knowledable people out there that could shed some light on this?thanx in advance guys.

A few years ago I saw a LT1 intake on a 350. The guy drilled a hole for the distributor and I think he had to make a coolant passage along the rear of the manifold. I didn't get a good look...I was a bit excited about my Typhoon (All Wheel Drive) drivetrain purchase at the time.

All I can say is that it's possible.
