street tpi setup recomendations
I was wondering If some of you guys could help me out. I have a 350 roller block and a tuned port setup off of a 1987 T/A. I am considering building a 355 or 383. I will want this to be a very streetable combo. I have a built 700R4 and bw limited slip rear which I will change the gears in(probably to 3.45). I would like to use either a stock torque converter or possibly one that is 500-600 above stock. I plan on putting large tube runners on it and porting and possibly siamesing everything. I would like to have plenty of torque down low but still be able to rev (not necisarily peak) above the stock 5000 redline. I plan on having my heads thoroughly worked over and runing around a 10:1 compression ratio. Does anyone have any recomended setups for this type of use. I am specifically looking for recomended cams for this type of use. I would appreciate any info about how specific cams would act and soforth. Thanks for all of your help.

Hey,
I havn't messed with my throttle body, plenum, or runners yet. But the rest of my rig is in my signature and thats what I'm
pulling for ET's. The SLP 51010 camshaft has a decent but rough idle. It doesn't bother me at all, growing up with chevelles and camaro's with open headers, but it might be rough for you.

Thanks for your info. That sounds pretty good. I do like the rough Idle by the way. I am just looking to stay pretty streetable and not have to go with a very high stall converter. What kind of rpm range does that cam make power. I appreciate any help.
