K & N Air Filter Recharge Interval

K & N Air Filter Recharge Interval
How often are people recharging there K & N air filter? When I bought my K & N air filter the instructions indicated recharging it at 50,000 miles, more often if used off road. I live in and drive my car in a city and region with very clean air. My K & N filter has about 25,000 miles on it. Every once in awhile I take the filter out and give it a light vacuuming.
