timing
hi im new to this great site, well i have an 87 iroc z witrh a 305 tpi auto, i have all the free mods, venom balanced 19 inj, edelbrock cat back, airfoil, some suspensin goodies, and the fuel pressuer turned up to 46 psi my queston is should i change the base timing at all? the car seems to be running rich as the exhaust tips are a lot blacker inside then before and my fuel economy has been down a litte, thanks

Re: timing
Advancing the timing 3 to 4 degrees (9-10 degrees total, stock is 6) would do it some good. My L98 runs at 10 with just about all the mods u listed, and i drive it everyday in the summer. also brought my et's down about .2 . And yea my fuel milage went down some when i did the AFPR also, but so did my times at the wednesday night drags

Re: timing
O yea and maybe you should look into a gear swap also. something like 3:42 or 3:73 (but no more than that) would really make that thing pull on the street
